Au cœur des collines is located in the hills of the Provence Verte,
outside the village of Cabasse.
Everyday life here is shaped by a rural setting.
There is no infrastructure within walking distance,
no spontaneous café around the corner
and no restaurant for a short evening walk.
A car is necessary for daily life here.
During the day, Cabasse can be reached by bicycle –
for sporty guests.
A family lives on the property.
There is a dog, as well as chickens and a rooster.
The chicken coop is located at the far end of the property
and not in the immediate vicinity of the studio.
During the day, the chickens move freely around the grounds.
The studio garden is fully fenced
and remains unaffected.
The final kilometres lead along narrow, partly steep roads
through the Provençal countryside.
Oncoming traffic is possible,
and occasional manoeuvring may be required.
Access is straightforward with a standard car.
For very wide, lowered or particularly sensitive vehicles,
the access road may feel stressful.
Motorhomes or vehicles with trailers are not suitable.
Communication on site is possible in English, French and German.
The studio
The studio is a quiet space
oriented towards the forest and surrounding hills.
It forms an independent part of the main house
and offers a protected setting for both work and everyday life.
The space is designed so that focus and daily living
can exist side by side:
a clearly defined work area,
a sleeping space,
a quiet corner for reading and resting,
a well-equipped kitchenette
and a private bathroom.
The studio is equipped with a very stable fibre-optic internet connection,
suitable for focused work
and reliable online meetings.

The studio includes a private, fully fenced garden area
for the exclusive use of guests.
It offers outdoor space, retreat and calm –
also for guests travelling with a dog or cat.
The only shared area on the property
is the swimming pool.
It measures 9 × 4 metres, is not heated
and is generally usable from around mid to late May
through to autumn, depending on weather conditions.
A parking space is located directly next to the studio.
The studio is not a sealed-off cocoon.
It offers calm and retreat
without fully separating itself from the life around it.
The character of the studio is closely connected to its location.
It is only in combination with the surrounding environment that this place reveals its particular quality.
Location & surroundings
Au cœur des collines is located in the Provençal hinterland,
among wooded hills and away from major traffic routes.
The surroundings are shaped by nature and the changing seasons.
Walks and hikes start directly at the house,
along forest and gravel paths that wind through the hills
and often allow for long stretches without meeting others.
The village of Cabasse is around 3 kilometres away
and forms the closest reference point for everyday needs,
with a small selection of restaurants and shops.
Larger towns and cities in the region
such as Toulon, Hyères, Aix-en-Provence or Fréjus
can be reached in about one hour by car.
The Mediterranean Sea is also around one hour away.
Nearby places such as Cotignac or Lorgues
offer markets, cafés and restaurants
and are well suited for occasional excursions.
The location combines retreat and connection:
